This package satisfies the state requirement to obtain your limited learner permit.

30-Hour Driver Ed Class
Classes meet online via Zoom. Students must be at least 14.5 by the first day of class and attend every class to complete the program -- no missed days allowed. An eye exam appointment will be held sometime between these dates. The student and parent must come to the eye appointment together for paperwork.

Behind-the-Wheel Driving Lessons
Six hours of lessons meets the state requirement; however, most students benefit from additional lessons to gain more confidence behind-the-wheel and improve skills such as highway driving, parallel parking, and defensive driving. Each behind-the-wheel driving lesson is two hours with private, one-on-one instruction. If you would like more experience driving, you can add more driving lessons for an additional fee.

A deposit of $100 is required to secure your seat in the class. The final $375 is required by the last day of class to begin driving lessons.

This includes the 30-hour driver ed class only. If you need behind-the-wheel lessons, consider signing up for the Teen Drivers Ed Course package which includes both services at a lower price than purchasing them separately. Students must be at least 14.5 by the first day of class and attend every class to complete the program -- no missed days allowed. A copy of your birth certificate will need to be turned in to the instructor on the first day of class.

This package is for you if you are under 18 and have completed your 30-hour driver education class at another driving school.

Before your instructor will schedule your driving lessons, you must pay in full and upload the following documents to your student account: 

• Certificate of Completion for the 30-Hour Driver Education Class
• Completed Eye Exam Form

Are you ready for your road test? Consider taking a 2-hour driving lesson to review your skills and help you pass the test. Of course, we cannot guarantee a passing grade on the road test, that depends on you, but taking this course will certainly give you an advantage. 

Take your road test with us.   We will be conducting the testing in accordance with the North Carolina DMV Standards. This test if for teens who currently hold a Level 1 permit to a Level 2 license. Safe Lane offers no guarantees you will pass your test and encourages you to take our Road Test Refresher prior to your test if you are not confident.  The teen can not have any restrictions on their Level 1 permit.

Payment has to be made before you can schedule the road test.

Your contract is valid for ONE (1) road test only. Any subsequent road tests will require a separate contract under the same terms and conditions as outlined herein. Any unsuccessful test taker must wait a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours before retaking the test. This waiting period is mandatory and cannot be waived.
